DPG Fall Meeting on "Quantum Physics"Göttingen, Germany, 8-12 September 2025Deadline for application for fellowships: 23 May 2025 The German Physical Society (DPG), thanks to the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus-foundation, offers around 30 fellowships for participation in this conference. The fellowships cover the conference fee, up to 520 € for travel and accommodation and a per diem of 30 €. Candidates for the fellowship must be about to complete their doctorate or have completed it no more than 6 years ago. They must work in certain Middle- or Eastern European countries, be members in a Physical Society, and be willing to present their work at the conference (typically with a poster). UMD/Magmatomix school on Molecular DyamicsTromsø, Norway, June 23-26, 2025The school provides foundational knowledge in the application of first-principles (FP) molecular dynamics (MD) to study the static, dynamic, thermodynamic, and transport properties of multicomponent silicate liquids. The program will cover various ensembles, statistical analysis of MD simulations, and their applications in geophysics. ESONN 2025The European School On Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ESONN) hosts two parallel sessions to highlight the fundamental and technological advances in two fields of research: Quantum Science Technology and Nano Bio Sciences.The first week comprises common lectures and seminars followed by the week of practical work.
