Abstract:
The Lateral Density of charged particles can be used to estimate the energy of the primary cosmic ray, based on CORSIKA and Geant4 simulations. New lateral distributions of charged particles and lateral energy correction functions are computed using the QGS-JetII.04 hadronic interaction model implemented in the CORSIKA EAS simulation code, making use of the latest cross section results from LHC, included in the model.
